National Mom’s Nite Out™ this Thurs., 5/10

Hey Ladies…National Mom’s Nite Out is this Thursday, May 10 and I had the chance to get a sneak peek at what will be taking place that evening with Maria Bailey (its founder…more info. below) and other bloggers. This worked out great for me because I will be teaching a coupon class that day and unfortunately won’t be able to attend.

It will be a health and fitness-inspired, Zen Mom-themed evening that all Moms will enjoy….Click HERE for a list of participating locations.

We started the evening with some delicious food at California Pizza Kitchen.

After that we headed over to the center of the mall to try some Yoga with Leslie Glickman

My Experience at the Tribeca Film Festival for the Marvel’s The Avengers Movie Screening #TheAvengersEvent

I still can’t believe that I attended the Tribeca Film Festival in New York this past Saturday for the Marvel The Avengers Movie Screening! There was so much to take in and I didn’t want to miss a thing. After all, I would have never imagined that I would be at a red carpet, star studded event all dressed up (with way too much hair spray in my hair) watching celebrities pass right in front of me. It felt surreal! Actually, I still can’t believe it, but I am beyond grateful that I was given the opportunity.

Although we did not walk the red carpet with the celebrities, I still did technically walk a red carpet (as you can see from the pic below) and I was able to see celebrities up close (photos to come in an upcoming post).

After the movie (which is a must see for the entire family), I was able to take pics with Miss Universe

I am headed to NYC for the Tribeca Film Festival’s Screening of Marvel’s The Avengers!!! #TheAvengersEvent

So last night I was out with a bunch of fabulous mommies and I was speechless (which doesn’t happen very often) when I received an email from Marvel/Disney inviting me and 24 other bloggers to attend the Tribeca Film Festival’s Closing Night Screening of Marvel’s The Avengers. Now do you see why I was speechless?????

I am honored to have been selected and I really still can’t believe this is happening. Once I read the email a few more times to make sure I wasn’t mistaken, I called my husband who was excited for me (and a bit bummed because he would Love to go…LOL) and being the supportive husband that he is, he told me to accept the invite…..so I will be headed to New York City and attending this red carpet event from Friday, 4/27 – Sunday, 4/29.

I’ll post more info. as I get it but from what I know so far, we will be walking the red carpet (no pressure!!!), watching the film (yay!!) and possibly interviewing people from the film (oh my!!!). Plus I can’t wait to meet tghe other bloggers!

The coolest part is that in honoring the spirit of the Tribeca Film Festival, the screening will allow the opportunity for MARVEL’S THE AVENGERS to celebrate everyday heroes from police agencies, fire departments, first responders and various branches of the U.S. military and they will have an opportunity to attend the screening and meet the cast.

Marvel’s The Avengers will be in theaters everywhere on May 4th!!

I was invited to attend a Panera Bread Blogger Event I was so glad that I was able to attend and that I went on an empty stomach because there was food galore. The Loft was decorated beautifully showcasing Panera Bread’s Catering at various events and the spread looked incredible and delicious (which it was)!

As if the sandwiches and salad weren’t yummy enough, I nearly drooled when I saw the dessert table! I immediately spotted the brownies and chocolate chip cookies amongst all of the other goodies which included cinnamon buns (that were absolutely delicious), M&M Cookies, Various Pastries and so much more. If it wasn’t that the sandwiches and salad looked so good (and that there were people everywhere who would have seen me) I may have just started with dessert (and finished with it….LOL)

My Night at the Oscars (#ChevyOscarParty)

Ok, so this should have been posted a while ago (being that the Oscars were a few weeks back) but technical difficulties and LIFE seemed to interfere with my plans (Don’t they always!). It’s has been said that it’s better late than never, so I am hoping it applies to this. So, let’s just pretend that it is the day after the Oscars….are you with me?

I must admit that I am not one to really watch the Academy Awards, although I know most people Love it, but I was excited when I received an invite to attend the Chevy Oscar Party for bloggers. I mean, it sounded amazing…A dry hair styling session at Blo Blow Dry Bar, a new splash of nail polish by Nail Bar and Beauty Lounge and getting to watch the Oscars with fashion bloggers, how could I resist? I couldn’t….

Do your kids love Thomas & Friends? If so, then you should definitely check out the “Day Out with Thomas: Mystery on the Rails Tour 2012″ that is already taking place. I had the chance to experience a Day Out With Thomas with my family as a Mommy Reporter this past weekend (wow, that sounds so official).

That day could not come fast enough for my kids, they were super excited to get to ride on the Thomas Train…especially after watching Thomas on TV all of the time.

9 Tips I learned at the MAC “All Ages, All Races, All Sexes” Beauty Master Class #BloomiesMAC4ALL

My sweet friend Jewel, from Jewel’s Fab Life, invited me to attend the “All Ages, All Races, All Sexes” Beauty Master Class at MAC Counter at the Bloomingdale’s Aventura. There was no need to think about whether or not I would be attending, I was going to be there!

Here are some tips I picked up when I wasn’t chatting away with the other guests.

Apply makeup with a brush and not your fingers because your fingers are oily and it takes away from your make up.

Dab your foundation for full coverage

Don’t apply your foundation all over your face, unless you are going to be gone all day. This will save you foundation, which means saving you money

Use a synthetic brush for liquid cosmetic application

Let your concealer seal before you do your eyes.

Do your eyes last

Toner creates a wall for your skin so that the foundation does not get into your pores.

If you have oily skin, you should use a powder foundation.

Use a plastic spoon to shade in your eyebrows….provides nice shaping
