Let’s Shop Holiday Sales for a Good Cause

As you begin taking advantage of all of the Holiday Sales, I want to encourage you to Shop the Holiday Sales for a Good Cause.  What does this mean?  Simply be on the lookout for discounted toys and clothing that can be donated to a family (or families) in need next Christmas (or anytime throughout the year).

As some of you may know this past Christmas, Teach Me 2 Save offered a Helping Families for Christmas Giveaway.    Although it started off with a $50 Gift Card for one family, through the generosity of 2 additional sponsors, we were able to offer:

  • (3) Families a $100 Gift Card
  • (2) Families a $50 Gift Card
  • (2) South Florida Families gifts for their family

We received 71 Submissions and only being able to help 7 families was very difficult because we wanted to help them all.  This being said, it is one of our goals to be able to help more families next Christmas (2012).  We truly feel that it can be done if we Teach Me 2 Save and its readers)  all work together to make it happen.

So I ask, and encourage, you to Shop Holiday Sales (and any sales throughout the year) for a Good Cause.

*If you decide to buy items and don’t have a place to store them and you want to make a donation for Next Year’s Helping Families for Christmas Giveaway, please contact me and we can coordinate a way for use to get them from you.

Helping Families for Christmas Giveaway Winners will be Selected Today

Good Morning,

Just wanted to give you an update for the Helping Families for Christmas Giveaway:

  • Unfortunately, we are no longer accepting entries, so I hope you were able to get your form in.
  • We received 71 Submissions and we will be selecting the winners today. Yay!

That being said….

  • If you submitted an entry, please check your email this afternoon so that if you are one of the recipients, we can get you your gift card and/or gifts as soon as possible (check your spam folder as well just in case)
  • If you would like to donate a gift card to one of these 71 families, there is still time. Please contact me by clicking HERE if that is something you would like to do.

Winners of the Helping Families for Christmas Giveaway will be announced on the site once we have heard back from all of the recipients.

UPDATE: Short Sales OBP, A Real Estate Company has graciously donated a $50 Target Gift Card to One Family. So now we are able to help 5 Families this Christmas…YAY!!!!!!!!

If you are experiencing financial difficulties and you won’t be able to provide a nice meal or store bought gifts for your family this Christmas, we are giving 5 families, 1 of the 5 gift cards listed below:

  • (1) $50 Target Gift Card

    – Donated by Short Sales OBP, A Real Estate Company

  • (3) $100 Walmart Gift Cards

    – Donated by The Supply House International, Inc.,

  • (1) $50 Publix Gift Card

    – Donated by My husband & I

The Supply House International, Inc., has also offered to help a Local South Florida Family with Toys & Clothing!!

If we were financially able to help more families, we definitely would. It is our mission to be able to do that in the upcoming year.
