We arrived at The Tribeca Film Festival for the the Marvel The Avengers Movie Screening and there were fans everywhere waiting anxiously for the celebrities to arrive.

I am sure they were happy with the celebrities they were able to see, I know I was. I saw…

Tom Hiddleston, "Loki"

Robert Downey Jr., "Iron Man"

Mark Ruffalo, "Hulk"

Cobie Smulders, "Maria Hill"

Clark Gregg

Michael J. Fox

These celebrities also attended but I must have missed them…

I just love these photos and wanted to share them as well…

My Experience at the Tribeca Film Festival for the Marvel’s The Avengers Movie Screening #TheAvengersEvent

I still can’t believe that I attended the Tribeca Film Festival in New York this past Saturday for the Marvel The Avengers Movie Screening! There was so much to take in and I didn’t want to miss a thing. After all, I would have never imagined that I would be at a red carpet, star studded event all dressed up (with way too much hair spray in my hair) watching celebrities pass right in front of me. It felt surreal! Actually, I still can’t believe it, but I am beyond grateful that I was given the opportunity.

Although we did not walk the red carpet with the celebrities, I still did technically walk a red carpet (as you can see from the pic below) and I was able to see celebrities up close (photos to come in an upcoming post).

After the movie (which is a must see for the entire family), I was able to take pics with Miss Universe

Marvel’s The Avengers Ends The Tribeca Film Festival Honoring Our Everyday Heroes #TheAvengersEvent

This past Saturday I attended the Tribeca Film Festival for the screening of Marvel’s The Avengers, besides getting to see the movie (which is a MUST SEE) and seeing amazing actors (more info. in another post soon) it was a really special night because they made it a celebration of our everyday heroes from police agencies, fire departments, first responders on 9/11 and various branches of the U.S. military.

2 of our local heroes honored me by taking a picture with me…

Then we were able to get a group shot

After the movie (which did I mention was awesome!), I was walking out of the theater when I see a cute little boy dressed up as Captain America and it made me immediately think of my 3 year old who loves super heroes.

Little did I know, when I saw him and his father later on outside, that they were the father and son I posted about previously HERE. This video captured a Military Dad returning home from the war, disguised as Captain America, to surprise his son on his birthday. If you haven’t already seen this video, you should check it out (with some tissue near by)

The Children’s Place Back to School Shop Day 8/12/11

I have always loved the clothing from The Children’s Place because it is both stylish and affordable (2 features that go exceptionally well together).  That being the case, I was thrilled at the opportunity attend The Children’s Place blogger event last Friday, 8/12/11.

Being that it is summer vacation, I took the kids along with me (Yikes!).  While Caleb (who will soon be 3) only seemed to care about running around the store, my daughter Hannah (who recently turned 5) was overjoyed that we were going shopping (especially for something other than groceries).

Shopping at The Children’s Place was particularly exciting for Hannah because she is going through a stage where she feels the need to change every 5 minutes, constantly do her hair (or mine) and put on a ton of jewelry.   I am not sure where she gets this from because it definitely isn’t from me, so selecting her outfits is sometimes frustrating.  Especially when she only wants to wear skirts or dresses, unless, she puts a pair of leggings on underneath it.  So imagine my delight when I got to the store and found out that layering clothing is actually the style this fall.  I admit that I was quite impressed by my daughters sense of fashion….

The kids really enjoyed trying stuff on (that of course we ended up getting)…

The hard part was choosing what to buy, there is so much to choose from and with most of the items being on sale I am not sure how I was able to control myself.  By the way, if your child will be wearing uniforms to school this year, they have those too!

When we got home with that blue bag full of Goodies, I had my models try on some of their clothes.  They got really into it…..as you can tell.

I’d like to say THANK YOU The Children’s Place, on behalf of myself and my kiddos, for providing us with a gift card to purchase these fashionable clothes my little models will be wearing.

My opinion is my own and is an honest view of my experience. The Children’s Place was not involved in the writing of this post.
